Shirley A. McAuley

Shirley Ann (Scholl) McAuley, 78, of Adrian passed away Friday at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born Sept. 29, 1937, in Reesedale to the late Ralph and Ruth (Wolfe) Scholl.

She was a lifelong resident of Reesedale and Adrian. She retired from ACMH Hospital as a housekeeper and also worked as a school bus driver and at PPG, but her most important job was being a mom and gram.

She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Adrian, and a member of the Art and Sole Relay for Life team.

She enjoyed spending time with her boys and their families. She also enjoyed camping, boating, going out to eat, but most of all, she enjoyed life.

She is survived by her sons, John (Deb) McAuley of Adrian, William (Barb) McAuley of Adrian, Philip “Phip” (Brenda) McAuley of Smicksburg and Dr. Jeffery (Michelle) McAuley of Butler; her grandchildren, Nicole (Jake) Wells, Kristal (Alex) Costanzo, Jenall, Raymond, Annie, Emily, Andrew, Max, Alex and Abby McAuley, and Peggy (Larry) Daugherty; her great-grandchildren, Levi and Ella Wells; one special niece, Linda Johns; her brothers, Brady Scholl, Jack (Betty) Scholl, Leon (Mary) Scholl, Loran (Arlene) Scholl, David (Rene) Scholl and Vernon (Donna) Scholl; her brother-in-law, Arnold (Harvene) McAuley; her sister-in-law, Lu McAuley; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond A. McAuley, who passed away Aug. 26, 2006; her parents; her sisters, Kathryn White and Vivian Scholl; her brothers, Bernie Scholl and Junior Scholl; and her brothers-in-law, Donald, David, John “Jack” and George McAuley.

MCAULEY — Friends of Shirley Ann (Scholl) McAuley, who died Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Snyder-Crissman Funeral Home in Cowansville, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Adrian with the Rev. Arlyn Eisenbrandt, her church pastor, officiating.Interment will be in St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made in Shirley's honor to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 280 St. Mark's Road, Adrian, PA 16210.
