Doris D. Walker

Doris D. Walker, formerly of Oak Hill Drive Extension, Grove City, passed away Thursday evening in the Trinity Living Center. She was 82.

She was born in Andover, Ohio, on Sept. 12, 1933, to Benjamin H. and Methyl H. Lewis Richards.

Doris married Harold N. Walker on April 12, 1952. He preceded her in death on May 10, 2001.

Doris was a homemaker, a member of the Scotch Hill Presbyterian Church, the Pine Grove Ladies Club and one of her greatest loves was playing the piano. She would often play for the residents and staff while living at Trinity.

Survivors include three children, Barbara Ann Walker of Oil City, Carol L. Knox and her husband, John, of Evans City and Jane M. Yeksigian and her husband, Peter, of Avondale; one granddaughter, Wendy Palmer of Concord, N.C.; one great-grandson, Jacob Palmer of Concord, N.C.; and two sisters, Laura Thompson of Blue Springs, Mo., and Alice Walker of Akron, Ohio.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and three brothers.

WALKER — Visitation for Doris D. Walker, who died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, will be at the Cunningham Funeral Home, 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City on Monday at 11:30 a.m. to the time of services at 1 p.m.Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 1 p.m. Monday with Evelyn Beebe, certified layperson, officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake.Memorial donations may be made to the Scotch Hill Presbyterian Church, 489 Centertown Road, Grove City, PA 16127
