Frank E. Fischer, 72, of Butler passed away at 1:18 a.m. Wednesday at his home.

He was born Aug. 14, 1943, in Pittsburgh, to the late Edward J. Fischer and Mildred Ada (Garver) Fischer.

Frank loved animals, his family, children, working outside and playing with his cars and tractors. He was Lutheran by faith. He resided with his second family through the Arc of Butler County for more than 30 years.

He is survived by two sisters, Rose Moore of Karns City and Shirley Doherty of Pittsburgh; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Nancy Marino, Helen Timmons and JoAnn Landers.

FISCHER — Friends of Frank E. Fischer, who died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will immediately follow at 6 p.m. with the Rev. Todd Wentworth, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.Private burial will take place at Mt.
