Ella Mae Beale

Ella Mae Beale, 93, of South Buffalo Township passed away peacefully Sunday at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights.

Ella Mae was born Nov. 9, 1922, on her family's farm in South Buffalo Township. She was the daughter of the late Irene A. (Watson) and John H. Hughes.

Ella was a longtime member of the Freeport United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a wonderful homemaker, who enjoyed quilting, knitting, puzzle books and spending time with her family.

Ella Mae is survived by her husband of 72 years, Benjamin Harrison Beale; her three sons, Larry (Beverly) Beale of Oklahoma Borough, Pa., Thomas (Phyllis) Beale of Butler Township and Roger (Susan) Beale of South Buffalo Township; and her daughter, Elaine (Scott) Beale of South Buffalo Township.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Gary (Kelly) Beale, Michelle (Matthew) Baker, Chad (Nicole) Beale, Ben Beale and Lauren (Tod Virden) Beale; her great-grandchildren, Cameron and Quinn Baker, Brayden Beale, Lacy and Margaret Postle and Bethany Fortuna; her sister, Evelyn Stevenson of Butler; and her brother, Harold G. Hughes of Atlanta, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her brother, John Ralston Hughes.

BEALE — Family and friends of Ella Mae Beale, who died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., in Freeport.The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Freeport United Methodist Church with the Rev. James Young officiating.
