Pearl L. Mahood

Pearl L. Mahood, 91, of Grove City passed away peacefully at 10 p.m. Friday at Orchard Manor in Grove City.

Born May 20, 1924, in Bullion, she was a daughter of the late Daniel J. and Elsie E. Rankin Baker.

She was a graduate of the Butler Beauty School.

Pearl was a self-employed beautician and owned Pearl's Beauty Shop in Prospect for many years. She was also the former manager of the Carriage Hill Apartments in Butler.

Previously, Pearl attended the Trinity Presbyterian Church in Butler. She was an avid race car fan.

On March 14, 1946, she married Chester D. Mahood, and he preceded her in death Nov. 22, 1983.

Surviving are two daughters, Peggy L. West and her husband, Terry, of Harrisville and Sandra L. Dimon of Newport News, Va.; two grandchildren, Robert Terry West Jr. and his wife, Chris, of Titusville and Russell Troy West and his wife, Rita, of Zelienople; and two great-grandchildren, Anna Elizabeth West and Benaiah John West.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

MAHOOD — The family and friends of Pearl L. Mahood, who died Friday, Jan. 15, 2016, are welcome from 2 to 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Jamison Funeral Home, 117 N. Main St., Harrisville.Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Willard Morse officiating.
