Local actors perform in 1970s classic
PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Musical Theater presents “Saturday Night Fever” through Sunday at the Byham Theater, 101 Sixth St., and four local actors are in the professional show.
Nicole Uram and Adria Streitman, both of Butler, Jessica Ortiz of Penn Township and Brady Patsy of East Brady are part of the show.
Patsy is the understudy for the role of Monty. Uram portrays Pauline, Streitman plays Connie, and Ortiz is in the ensemble.
The musical adaptation of the 1970s classic film follows a talented, streetwise kid from Brooklyn who attempts to escape his dead-end life through dancing. The score includes many popular ’70s hits.
Curtain is at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday.
