It’s save-a-snowball timePITTSBURGH — Save some of the snow to participate in the Carnegie Science Center’s annual “Snowball Day” celebration on the summer solstice.Visitors who make a snowball this winter, save it in their freezer, and take it still frozen to the science center on June 20, the first day of summer, will be able to choose what they pay for general admission.In addition, visitors will be able to launch their snowballs into the Ohio River, weather permitting.

Rotary presents the Butler Carved in Ice festival on Saturday in Diamond Park.The festival will feature ice sculptures, a chili cook-off, vendors and music.The event is free to attend.
