Darryl Joel Thompson
Darryl Joel Thompson, 58, of West Sunbury passed away Monday at his home.
Darryl was born Nov. 5, 1957, in Butler. He was the son of Robert E. Thompson and Florence I. Stone Thompson.
Darryl was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a self-employed carpenter and painter, who loved fishing and helping others.
Darryl never had any children of his own, but was much loved by his nieces and nephews, who lovingly called him Uncle Blubbly.
Darryl is survived by his parents, Robert and Florence Thompson of West Sunbury; his companion, Lisa Lusk; two sisters, Terri (Rick) Wagner of West Sunbury and Cheryl (Tom) Cherry of Freeport; five brothers, Curtis (Marilyn) Thompson of Newport News, Va., Bret (Melissa) Thompson of Huntsville, Texas, Vernon (Linda) Thompson of West Sunbury, Neal (Bobby) Thompson of Wesley Chapel, Fla., and Keith (Ralph) Thompson of West Sunbury; his nieces, Chasity, Heather, Carrie, Ashley, Emily, Melanie, Dakota, Alexis, Lauren and Danilo; and his nephews, Chad, Philip, Ben (Ashley Hibbard), Jeremy, Brian, Josh, Gregory, Lucien, Raiden, Caden and Isaac.
THOMPSON — A memorial service for Darryl Joel Thompson, who died Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Methodist Church, Halston Road, Slippery Rock with the Rev. Jean Smith officiating. Burial will be private.William F.
