Rodney L. Boulanger Sr.

Rodney L. Boulanger Sr., 67, of Butler left this world Sunday to be with the Lord at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born July 10, 1948, in Butler, the son of the late Joseph J. and Margaret (Thomas) Boulanger.

Rodney was employed as a welder most of his working career. He had worked at Pullman Standard until its closing and then worked at Trinity Industries in Greenville, Pa., until its closing. He retired from PPT in Harmony.

He enjoyed NASCAR and watching the History Channel.

He will be sadly missed and loved by his wife, Candace L. (Hines) Boulanger, who was by his side to the end.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his son, Rodney L. (Susan) Boulanger Jr., his daughter, Sherry L. Boulanger; his stepson, Chad E. Kelley; four granddaughters, Lacey J. Boulanger, Sarah A. Boulanger and Ashley R. and Abigail M. Boulanger, who he helped raise; two grandsons, Zachary L. Boulanger and Bricen Sell; four sisters, Connie Cumberland, Donna Schnur, Doreen Desmond and Sandra Protzman; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bill; and his sisters, Marge and Dolly.

BOULANGER — There will be no visitation for Rodney L. Boulanger, who died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2016. A memorial service will be later at the convenience of the family.The Young Funeral Home, Butler, is assisting with the arrangements.For more information, go to www.youngfuneralhomes.com.
