Donna Lee VanGorder

Donna Lee VanGorder

Donna Lee VanGorder, 59, of Butler passed away unexpectedly Dec. 31.

She was born Sept. 2, 1956.

She is the mother of Nicholas VanGorder of Prospect and Emily VanGorder; the grandmother of Zoe of Southside, Pittsburgh; and the sister of Gale M. DeLancey of Fox Chapel, Pa.

Donna was a 1976 graduate of Fox Chapel High School and a graduate of Beatty Tech. Her major was medical assistant.

Donna mostly worked in visiting home care services and nursing homes. She always had 2 or 3 jobs at a time.

Donna always reached out to help anyone in need. She was one that could make you laugh and smile with her jokes to cheer you up, even with people she didn't know or saw on a daily basis.

Donna being a newlywed bride, also took in her little sister for a period of time until Gale was able to live on her own.

Donna was a member of the Salvation Army in Butler. She was a volunteer and a faithful kettle ringer.
