Donna M. Puz
Donna M. Puz, 80, of Butler passed away Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 21, 1935, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Angelina (DeDonato) Pucci.
She was employed by Butler Memorial Hospital, retiring after 26 years. While there she worked in various departments. She worked in the radiology and cardiology departments. She worked as an X-ray and EKG technician. She was an instructor in the community education department. She also worked for the Geibel Funeral Home for many years as a greeter.
She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, where she served as a member of the church choir for many years. She also was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Women and Christian Mothers. She was an accomplished pianist and musician.
She volunteered her services to many organizations, including the Butler Public Library, Butler Memorial Hospital and the Republican Election Committee.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are her sons, Rodger (Sharon) Puz of Pittsburgh; Matthew (Rebecca) Puz of Darien, Ill.; five granddaughters, Ryan, Allison, Sarah, Sydney and Aimee; her brother, Angelo Pucci of Butler; and her nephew, Michael Pucci.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Puz, who passed away Jan. 29, 2013; and her brother, Michael Pucci.
PUZ — Friends of Donna M. Puz, who died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, 128 N. McKean St., Butler.
