Possible cadet cheating probed

HARRISBURG — The governor on Wednesday indirectly confirmed reports of an investigation into possible cheating at the state police academy.

Gov. Tom Wolf told reporters it was a personnel matter but added that if cheating did occur, “it’s absolutely unacceptable.”

TV station WHTM in Harrisburg on Monday was the first to report the probe, citing unidentified sources. State police spokesman Maria Finn had little to say on the matter. The two classes currently going through the academy are to graduate in March and June.
