Police seek suspect in rape of 2 girls
CENTER TWP — Police are searching for a township man who is accused of raping two girls after plying them both with liquor.
District Judge Lewis Stoughton on Tuesday issued state police an arrest warrant for 21-year-old Austin Chalmers Miller.
He faces 18 charges, including 10 felonies, in the alleged sexual assaults last month at the home of one of the girl’s in Center Township.
Police began their investigation Dec. 30 after the girls, 14 and 15, first notified authorities.
The younger child recounted that Miller came to her home on Dec. 15 with a case of Mike’s Hard Lemonade and a bottle of liquor. She drank both alcoholic beverages and became “dizzy” and “slow,” according to court documents.
The older victim also was visiting the home when Miller left and then returned, police said.
When he returned, he allegedly raped both girls.
The 14-year-old told investigators that she told Miller to “stop” and she heard the older girl tell him “no,” a police affidavit said.
The 15-year-old’s account in the charging documents seemed to corroborate the other girl’s allegations.
The older child said Miller also provided alcohol to her. Before the alleged sexual assault, she recalled, she told him of her age.
Miller is charged with four counts each of rape and statutory sexual assault, and two counts of corruption of minors, all felonies. He is charged with two misdemeanor counts of corruption of minors.
Additional charges include four counts of indecent assault and two counts of furnishing alcohol to minors, all misdemeanors.
