Herbert L. “Bert” Shever, 50, of Oakmont, passed away Saturday, Dec. 19, 2015, at Family Hospice and Palliative Care in Pittsburgh following an illness.

Born Feb. 21, 1965, in Butler, he was the son of Herbert Shever and Martha Ball Karch.

Bert worked as a laborer in the construction industry.

He was a member of Saint Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman.

He is survived by his daughter, Megan Cassioli and her husband, Tom, of Butler; his mother and stepfather, Martha and Regis Karch, of Herman; his father, Herbert Shever, of Bedford, Ohio; two sisters, Regina Green and her husband, Joseph, of Chicora, and Brandy Huff and her husband, Brian, of Butler; two nieces; and one nephew.
