Richard E. Buckham Jr.
Richard E. Buckham Jr., 61, of Franklin passed away at 2 p.m. Sunday at UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh surrounded by his family.
Born Oct. 3, 1954, Richard was the son of the late Richard E. Buckham Sr. and Barbara Smith Buckham, who survives. On April 9, 1977, he married Debra L. Beggs, who preceded him in death Oct. 28, 2014.
Richard was a Vietnam War sergeant in the U.S. Army.
He worked as a steel fabricator at Latrobe Steel.
He was a member of the VFW Jesse Greer Post 1835, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 328, the Loyal Order of Moose 83, and the BPO Elks 110. In his spare time, Richard enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time at his camp in Sheffield, Pa. He also loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his mother, Barbara Kennedy of Jacksonville, Fla.; his daughter, Beth Ann Sitterle and her husband, John, of Pittsburgh; his daughter, Michelle J. Feltenberger and her husband, Chad, of Loris, S.C.; and his daughter, Rebecca L. Buckham of Franklin.
He is additionally survived by his two brothers, Ronald Buckham and his wife, Karin, of Clinton, Tenn., and Robert Buckham and his wife, Melinda, of Virginia Beach, Va.; and his two sisters, Pamela Buckham and her partner, Sue Chamberlain, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Robin Carmichael of Paris, Texas.
Richard is also survived by his two grandchildren, Michael A. and Addison R. Feltenberger of Loris, S.C.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Buckham Sr., and his wife, Debra Buckham.
BUCKHAM — Friends and family of Richard E. Buckham Jr., who died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, will be received for a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Gardinier Funeral Home, 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin, with the Rev.
