Cleora Jean “Mitch” McHale
Cleora Jean “Mitch” McHale, 93, of Zelienople passed away Sunday at Passavant Retirement Community.
Born July 16, 1922, in Yatesboro, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Iva (Craft) Mitchell.
Mitch was a 1940 graduate of Mars High School. She was a member of the Keenagers in Portersville, and she enjoyed attending the activities at the Zelienople Senior Center. In her free time she enjoyed playing cards, crocheting and completing jigsaw puzzles. She loved to cook and was known for her famous homemade bread. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
She is survived by her daughter, Jean C. (John) Campbell of Tequesta, Fla.; her stepson, Richard J. (Joyce) McHale Jr. of Portersville; her brother, A. Don Mitchell of Erie; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mitch was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard James McHale Sr., who died in 1978; her son and daughter-in-law, James Richard and Cynthia McHale; two sisters, Margaret Rader and Geraldine Wallace; and her grandson, Richard Campbell.
MCHALE — Visitation for Cleora Jean “Mitch” McHale, who died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, will be from 1:30 p.m. until the time of a blessing service at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Seaman Memorial Chapel at Passavant Retirement Community, 105 Burgess Drive, Zelienople, with the Rev. Michael Roche as celebrant.Mitch will be laid to rest at St. Peter's Reformed Church Cemetery in Zelienople.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Passavant Benevolent Fund/LAS Foundation, 105 Burgess Drive, Zelienople.The Boylan Funeral Home of Zelienople assisted with the arrangements.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
