James F. Lantz, 56, of Portersville passed away Friday in the Weirton Medical Center in West Virginia with his family by his side.

Born in Ellwood City March 2, 1959, he was the son of the late Dale C. and Ruth M. Goubeaud Lantz.

Jim worked on the production line at MSA.

He loved his parents' farm. He also liked to kick back and watch science fiction movies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jody Hass Lantz, and a grandson, Dallas.

He is survived by a daughter, Tracy (Jason) Sabatasse of Burgettstown; one son, David (Marlene) Betke, Aliquippa; two brothers, Bill (Alcia) Lantz of Virginia and John Lantz of Massachusetts; and one sister, Linda Barton of North Carolina.

LANTZ — Friends of James F. Lantz, who died Friday, Dec. 18, 2015, will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople.
