Nicholas Raymond Furman
Nicholas Raymond Furman, 21, of Slippery Rock passed away following a fatal car accident Friday in Findley Township, Mercer County.
He was born Feb. 19, 1994, in Pittsburgh, Allegheny County.
He was a talented musician and also worked in music production. He enjoyed playing drums and writing music. His greatest love was for his four-month old son, Cylus.
He is survived by his son, Cylus Nicholas Furman, and his companion, Fallon Dovidio, both of Mercer; his mother, Denise Stephanie (Burkholder) Lentz and his stepfather, Norman L. of Slippery Rock; his father, Raymond Allen Furman and his stepmother, Michelle L. Wahl of Ellwood City; his sister, Ashley A. Furman of Slippery Rock; his maternal grandparents, Barry and Kerry Burkholder; his paternal grandmother, Pearl V. Furman of Pittsburgh; his stepbrother, Shane Keough-Lentz, and his stepsister, Brittany Keough-Lentz, both of Monroeville; his stepbrother, Timothy Wahl, and his stepsister, Kayla Wahl, both of Chippewa.
FURMAN — The family of Nicholas Raymond Furman, who died Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Slippery Rock Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorial contributions to establish an account for his son, Cylus, that will be provided to him when he becomes of age as a gift from all who loved his father.
