Shirley Marie Walker

Shirley Marie Walker, 87, of Saxonburg passed away at 6:55 a.m. Friday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 18, 1928, in Jefferson Township to the late William Newton (WN) Patten and Pearl Rose (Blakeley) Patten.

Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America.

She was a member of the Good Samaritan Shrine- White Shrine of Jerusalem No. 32 and a life member of the Butler Chapter 45 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, Eugene W. Walker of Saxonburg; two daughters, Glenna M. Walters and her husband, Timothy D., of Saxonburg and Karen K. Walker of Allison Park; one nephew, Gary Walker and his wife Judy of Fenelton; and also by several cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn A. Walker, whom she married July 6, 1947, and who passed away on Dec. 11, 2011; and by her daughter, Sharon Ann Walker, who passed away of Jan. 11, 2015.

WALKER — Friends of Shirley Marie Walker, who died Friday, Dec. 11, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Walt Coppersmith officiating. Burial will take place in the Summit Presbyterian Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Westminster Presbyterian Church in America, 420 N.
