John Michael Ryan

John Michael Ryan, 64, of Riverview, Fla., formerly of Butler, passed away peacefully Nov. 20.

Born June 2, 1951, in Butler, he was the son of James and Mary Patricia Ryan.

He graduated in 1969 from Moniteau High School. John served in the U.S. Army as a tank commander.

He retired from Ervin Industries with 36 years of service.

He was a member of the East Butler Fire Hall and an honorary member of the Hunting and Fishing Club. His favorite pastime was playing pool.

John is survived by his wife, Sophie Ryan, to whom he was married July, 18, 1986.

In addition to his wife and mother, John is survived by his five children, Michael Ryan and his wife, Robin, of West Sunbury, Scott Ryan and his wife, Kerri, of Riverview, Fla., Eric Ryan and his wife, Jennifer, of Plant City, Fla., Corry Hilliard and his wife, Karri, of Chicora and Richard Marcucci and his wife, Cindy, of Butler; seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Dakota, Carmella, Ayva, Logan, Corry Jr. and Keira; two brothers, Paul and David Ryan; and three sisters, Kathleen Weber, Linda Neff and Susan Simpson.

He was preceded in death by his father, James J. Ryan.

RYAN — A Mass service for John Michael Ryan, who died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at Saint Peter Parish, 127 Franklin St., Butler. A luncheon will follow.
