Jim “James E.” Rieger
Jim “James E.” Rieger, 63, of West Sunbury passed away Saturday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
He was born Jan. 10, 1952, in Butler to the late Gilbert G. Rieger Sr. and Florence O. (Plaisted) Rieger.
Jim was a former member of the Chicora Moose Lodge 962.
He worked as a mechanic until he retired in 2014.
Jim was an avid fan of drag racing and NASCAR. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Jim was a Catholic.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Suzie (Slagle) Rieger, who he married July 7, 1995; one daughter, Nicole Rieger and her fiancee, Zac Harbison, of West Sunbury; one son, James M. Rieger of East Brady; one brother, Gilbert G. Rieger Jr. and his wife, Eileen, of Karns City; one sister, Linda Ochs and her husband, George Bonnett, of Butler; and also by numerous nieces and nephews.
RIEGER — Friends of Jim “James E.” Rieger, who died Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler. A blessing service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Harry R.
