Man allegedly pulls 2 guns on his sister
HARRISVILLE — A borough man was arrested late Monday night after he allegedly brandished two handguns and pointed one of them at his sister’s head, state police said.
No one was injured, but Dominic A. Parenti, 28, ended up behind bars on felony assault and other charges following the domestic dispute outside the family’s home on South Main Street.
It wasn’t Parenti’s first family fracas. In September, he was arrested after state police say he threatened his 59-year-old mother with a gun.
Gina Parenti, the defendant’s sibling, told police that she and her brother were arguing about 11 p.m. Monday when he pulled two guns on her, according to court documents. One he aimed at her.
Nearby, Gina Parenti’s boyfriend watched as the suspect grabbed the slide of one of the guns. He stepped in and disarmed Parenti, documents said.
Parenti left before troopers got there. Police seized the guns that the alleged victims had placed in a living room safe after they were taken from Parenti.
He was eventually found and arrested shortly before 1 a.m. Tuesday.
District Judge Sue Haggerty arraigned Parenti on a felony charge of aggravated assault and misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats, simple assault and reckless endangerment.
He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bail following arraignment.
Parenti at the time of his arrest already was free on $5,000 bail in connection with the Sept. 5 domestic disturbance at his home. No one was injured.
He is awaiting trial in that case on charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and harassment.
