John A. Pferdehirt, 71, of Kingman, Ariz., passed away suddenly Nov. 24 at his home.

Born March 10, 1944, in Evans City, he was the son of the late Thomas A. Sr. and Mary E. Pferdehirt.

John was a 1962 graduate of Evans City High School. Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served two tours of duty in Vietnam as a staff sergeant.

He attended the University of Texas and was a senior field engineer at Applied Technology. In 2006 he founded Pilot Car Escort Services serving the trucking industry.

John is survived by his wife, Jeannie; four children; and seven grandchildren. He also is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Sandy Pferdehirt of Evans City.

PFERDEHIRT — Military service and interment for John A. Pferdehirt, who died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015, will take place Dec. 16 at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery.A celebration of his life will be Jan. 9 in Kingman, Ariz.
