Elsie J. Crider
Elsie J. Crider, 79, of Zelienople passed away Monday at UPMC Passavant Hospital.
Born March 15, 1936, in Valencia, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mildred Estella (Knox) Morrow.
Elsie was a faithful member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church of Evans City, where she belonged to the Woman's Circle.
She formerly worked as a teacher's aide at the Evans City Elementary School.
She was a football mom, and in her free time, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends and traveling. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Lisa L. Crider of Zelienople; her two sons, Roger (Monica) J. Crider of Export, Pa., and Lt. Col. Jeffrey (Jennifer) S. Crider, USAF, of Virginia; her grandchildren, Kelli Crider, Kacie Crider, Jack Crider and Luke Crider; her sisters, Janet Fredley of Missouri and Carole (Mark) Owings of Illinois.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John R. “Jack” Crider, who passed away on Aug. 11, 2009; her infant daughter, Debra Sue Crider; and one brother.
CRIDER — The family of Elsie J. Crider, who died Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.A funeral ceremony will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Harmon, pastor, officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Evans City Cemetery.Memorial donations may be made in Elsie's honor to the Westminster United Presbyterian Church, 330 E.
