Jennie A. Zuccala
Jennie A. Zuccala, 84, of Butler passed away Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 18, 1931, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Anna Ferrari Chiavaro.
Jennie was formerly employed at Cicco's Tailors and the Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She also worked along with her husband at Bruno's Cleaners and Tailors.
She was a member of the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Jennie also belonged to the Altar Ladies of Saint Michael's.
She was a former officer in Saint Michael's P.T.G. at Saint Michael's School, the Parents' Auxiliary of the General Butler Vagabonds Drum and Bugle Corps, the Butler High Marching Band Parents' Auxiliary, the Butler High Swim Team Parents' Auxiliary and the Butler High Rifle Team Parents' Auxiliary.
Jennie volunteered at the Butler County Thanksgiving dinner, the March of Dimes and the American Cancer Society.
She is survived by her husband, Bruno Zuccala, to whom she was married for 59 years; two sons, Bruno D. Zuccala of Butler and Dominic R. Zuccala and his wife, Becky, of Chillicothe, Ohio; and three grandchildren, Patrick, Samuel and Marianna Zuccala.
Jennie was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Chiavaro; and one sister, Virginia Cavalero.
ZUCCALA — Friends of Jennie A. Zuccala, who died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Saint Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., Butler. Entombment will take place at Saint Michael's Cemetery Mausoleum.The Bereavement Group of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home for a scriptural wake service.The family requests memorial donations to Butler Catholic School, 515 E.
