Arthur Jack Schnelle

Arthur Jack Schnelle, 71, of West Liberty passed away Monday at Grove City Medical Center.

Born Feb. 15, 1944, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late Arthur George and Thelma Pearl Weidenhof Schnelle.

Arthur retired from Bayer Corp., where he worked in Texas for more than 30 years as the waste treatment operator.

He belonged to the Portersville Puffers at the Portersville Steam Show, the Model T Club and the Ford VA Club.

While living in Texas, he belonged to the Baptist Church and enjoyed Civil War re-enactments with the Company A-12 Infantry.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, proudly serving his country as a radio operator and sharpshooter from 1963 to 1969.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Watt Schnelle, who he married July 24, 1971; his children Gwendalen (Prentiss) Parker and Matthew Schnelle, both of Baytown, Texas; grandchildren Zackery, Luke, Daniel Parker and Brodie Schnelle; and his siblings, Ronald (Karen) Schnelle of Portersville, Christopher (Virginia) Schnelle of Ocala, Fla., and Timothy Schnelle of Ocala, Fla.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

SCHNELLE — Visitation for Arthur Jack Schnelle, who died Monday, Nov. 30, 2015, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Nelson Thayer officiating.Interment with military honors will be at West Liberty Cemetery.
