Hugh N. Winning

Hugh N. Winning, 86, of Butler, Middlesex Township, formerly of Mars, died Sunday morning at his home after an illness.

Born in Los Angeles, Calif., March 2, 1929, he was the son of the late Neil and Iva Fisher Winning.

Hugh was a self-employed cabinet maker and stair builder and belonged to the Carpenters Union 1160. He was also a member of the Valencia Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian F. Perry Winning, who he married July 17, 1950; one son, Ronald Winning and his wife, Bonnie, of Sarver; two daughters, Judy Bell of Butler and Donna “DJ” Meigel and her husband, Rich, of Butler; seven grandchildren, Josh Johnson, Dawn Hallam, Katie Bowser (Kevin), Tracey Winning, Becky Glover (Chris), Cathy Davis (Patrick) and Amy Meigel; and one great-grandson, Finnegan Hallam; and two stepsisters, Virginia Perry and Kathleen Mawhinney, both of Pittsburgh.

WINNING — Friends of Hugh N. Winning, who died Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Valencia Presbyterian Church, 80 Sterrett St., Valencia, with the Rev. James Kirk, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt.
