Inmate escapes from Greene prisonWAYNESBURG — Authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped the Greene County Prison.Warden Harry Gillispie says Waylon Hodge Hanlan, 27, fled from the facility just before 8 p.m. Sunday. He was behind bars on a probation violation.State police say Hanlan escaped from the jail to a fenced-in area, then climbed a fence and took off into a wooded areaAuthorities say Hanlan is 6 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 145 pounds. 2 hurt in oxygen tank explosionCORAOPOLIS — Officials say smoking caused an oxygen tank to explode in a home, injuring a husband and wife.Coraopolis Fire Chief Larry Byrge said a 59-year-old woman was smoking in the house when the tank exploded around 10 p.m. Sunday. He says the woman was severely burned and her 60-year-old husband burned his hands trying to help her.
