Kathleen Elder Wentworth, 78, of Lake Wales, Fla., passed away Friday at the Lake Wales Medical Center.

She was born April 15, 1937, in Pittsburgh to the late Robert K. and Kathleen E. (Alter) Elder.

She had been a resident of Lake Wales for five years, moving there from Butler County. Kate was a retired real estate agent. She was an Episcopalian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David, on May 5, 2007.

Survivors include her sons, David Wentworth (Jeanne) of Sisters, Ore., and Douglass Wentworth of Denver, Colo.; her sister, Diana Garmon (Aaron) of Lake Wales, Fla.; her brother, Robert K. Elder Jr. (Marilyn) of Enon Valley, Pa.; her granddaughter, Alessandra Wentworth of Sisters, Ore.; her niece, Jodi Elder Weinstein of Clinton, Pa.; and her nephew, Robert Scott Elder of Erie, Colo.

WENTWORTH — No services are scheduled at this time for Kathleen Elder Wentworth, who died Friday, Nov. 20, 2015. She will be laid to rest at the North Cemetery, Butler.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending a memorial gift to a charity of your choice.
