Police seek woman changed in knife assault case

SLIPPERY ROCK — Police are looking for an 18-year-old woman accused of assaulting her younger brother with a kitchen knife who failed to appear in court.

Cheyenne Goodin, 18, of Slippery Rock is charged with felony aggravated assault, simple assault, disorderly conduct and recklessly endangering another person.

Court-appointed attorney Patrick Casey said that she was not at her preliminary hearing Wednesday before District Judge Joseph O’Donnell. That means a bench warrant will be issued, he said.

She was arrested by borough police on Dec. 17 after an officer was called to her family’s house on Cross Street.

According to the criminal complaint filed by officer Jake Ingram, he responded to the address at 3:05 p.m. for a report of a female lying in the street and yelling.

When he arrived, Goodin allegedly ran at him screaming, so he placed her in his patrol vehicle.

Ingram said that he talked with Goodin’s two brothers, ages 16 and 12, and one sister, age 14, who reported that they locked her out of the house after a verbal and physical altercation. During the incident, Goodin allegedly grabbed two kitchen knives and used them to cut the 16-year-old brother twice between his chest and waist area.

She was placed in Butler County Prison on $10,000 bail after her arrest but posted bail, according to court records
