Ole Miss player hospitalized after fallATLANTA — Police say star Ole Miss football player Robert Nkemdiche was hospitalized after falling from a wall at an Atlanta hotel.Department spokeswoman Kim Jones says it appears that 21-year-old Nkemdiche broke a hotel room window, walked about 15 feet, climbed over a wall and fell roughly 15 feet late Saturday night.Jones says Nkemdiche was alert and conscious when emergency responders arrived and he was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.Jones says authorities found what appeared to be a small amount of marijuana in Nkemdiche's room and he was hospitalized in stable condition.Ole Miss coach Hugh Freeze sent out a release through the school on Sunday saying “We are still learning about the matter, but obviously Robert's wellbeing is our greatest concern.”

McGrego scores quick knockoutLAS VEGAS — Conor McGregor backed up every word he ever said to Jose Aldo with one spectacular punch.McGregor stopped Aldo with a left hand to the jaw just 13 seconds into the first round Saturday night, claiming the undisputed featherweight title at UFC 194.McGregor (19-2) finished the fight with an electrifying exchange shortly after the opening bell, slipping Aldo's lead right and cracking the champ with his formidable punching power.Aldo (25-2) actually finished his punch and hit McGregor with a left, but the champ fell senseless to the ground. McGregor pounced, only to be pulled off in his fifth consecutive knockout victory.Luke Rockhold also claimed the UFC middleweight title with a bloody fourth-round stoppage of previously unbeaten champion Chris Weidman.

Eagle gives golf duo tourney winORLANDO, Fla — Lanny and Tucker Wadkins won the PNC Father/Son Challenge with an eagle on the first hole of a four-team playoff.Tucker made the 40-foot eagle putt on the par-5 18th at Ritz-Carlton Golf Club. The 23-year-old former University of Arizona player works in investor relations.The Wadkins closed with a 9-under 63 to match Davis and Dru Love, Larry and Drew Nelson, and Fred and Taylor Funk at 20 under in the scramble tournament.

Stanford wins 1st men's soccer crownKANSAS CITY, Kan. — U.S. national team forward Jordan Morris and the Stanford Cardinal couldn't be stopped.Morris scored twice and the Cardinal buried four of their five shots to win their first NCAA title in men's soccer with a 4-0 win over Clemson in the College Cup final.

Navy wins 14th straight over ArmyPHILADELPHIA — With a shot at history at stake, Keenan Reynolds ended his Navy career with a clean sweep against Army.Reynolds rushed for two touchdowns and threw for another score to lead the No. 21 Midshipmen to their 14th straight win over the Black Knights, 21-17 on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field.The Midshipmen (10-2) can hook an anchor to the Commander-In-Chief’s Trophy. It’s coming back to Annapolis, Md., after a one-year hiatus.
