Christopher D. Snow

Christopher D. Snow

Christopher D. Snow, 39, of West Sunbury passed away Tuesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born September 16, 1976, in Butler, to Melvin R. Snow and Suzan I. Herold.

Chris worked as a crane operator for AK Steel.

He was a member of the Christ Community United Methodist Church. He was formerly a member of the Mercer Road Volunteer Fire Department Station 6 of Butler Township.

Chris enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, water skiing and snow skiing. Although Chris had many accomplishments, his great accomplishment in life was his two children, who were his entire world. He was the most proud, devoted, loving and caring father any child could ask for. Words cannot express the love they shared.

Chris was gifted by God with one of the most beautiful voices. He was able to share this gift with others when he fulfilled his dream and became the lead singer of Stoney Creek, as well as played the lead role of Tony in the high school musical “West Side Story.” He was also accepted into the Governor's School of Excellence for Voice.

Chris is survived by one son, Ryder Dean Snow of West Sunbury; one daughter, Emma Grace Snow of West Sunbury; his mother Suzan I. Herold and her husband, Ed; his father, Melvin R. Snow and his wife, Linda; four brothers, Michael Snow of Butler, Adam Snow of Butler, Matthew Herold of Panama City, Fla., and Thomas Cipolla of Butler; three sisters, Michelle Kujbus and her husband, Nick, of West Sunbury, April Herold of Butler, and Kelly Edwards of Butler; three nieces, Bailey Kujbus, Ashleigh Lumley and Hope Herold; four nephews, Levi Kujbus, Callen Kujbus, Deryk Herold and Rohan Herold; along with many loving aunts and uncles.
