George E. Miller
George E. Miller, 93, of Butler died Friday night at his home after an illness.
Born Oct. 7, 1922, in Prospect, he was the son of Howard and Virginia Sarver Miller.
George retired from Berry Metal in Harmony as a welder after 22 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prospect.
Survivors include his wife of 73 years, Betty Joan Bhame Miller, who he married April 25, 1942; one daughter, Connie (David) Kamerer of Butler; one sister, Edna Marsh of New Jersey; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
MILLER — Visitation for George E. Miller, who died Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Jay Bryan Funeral Home, 443 Main St., Prospect.Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Tuesday following visitation at the funeral home with the Rev. Ben Oesterling of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church officiating. Burial will take place at the Greenlawn Burial Estates in Butler.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Prospect.
