Dorothy C. Hershberger
Dorothy C. Hershberger, 94, of Butler, formerly of Buffalo, N.Y., passed away at 5:25 p.m. Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.
Born Nov. 7, 1920, in Hooversville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late George E. Hershberger and Leah (Corristan) Hershberger.
Miss Hershberger retired from the accounting department for the Pillsbury Co., Buffalo, N.Y., after 36 years of service. She was a graduate of Butler High School, Class of 1938, and a member of the Covenant United Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed going fishing, knitting, reading, bowling and playing cards with her friends.
Dorothy's nephew, Don (Linn) Hershberger has been her caregiver for the past several years. She is survived by five nephews and one niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, E. W. “Bucky” Hershberger; one sister, Betty Klausman; and one nephew.
HERSHBERGER — There will be no public viewing for Dorothy C. Hershberger, who died Friday, Oct 30, 2015.A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler, with the Rev. James Swanson of the Covenant United Presbyterian Church officiating.
