Myrie Nicholas “Nick” Walsh
Myrie Nicholas “Nick” Walsh, 76, of Conway, Ark., formerly of West Sunbury, passed away Friday.
Nick was born June 7, 1939, in Clay Township, Butler County. He was the son of the late Myrie A. Walsh and the late Mary J. Frisk Walsh.
Nick was a veteran of the U.S, Navy, serving on the USS Yorktown CVS-10 from June 1956 to May 1960.
He was member of the Operating Engineers Union. He had been employed at the nuclear power plant, as well as a heavy equipment operator for much of his career in California.
Nick was a Catholic.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Walsh and George Walsh; and one sister, Marie (Walsh) Scott.
Nick is survived by two daughters, Cyndi Wildes and her husband, Art, of Hattieville, Ark., and Becky Long and her husband, Greg, of Russellville, Ark.; and one son, Nick Walsh and his wife, Sharon, of Conway, Ark.
Also surviving are four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
WALSH — The family of Myrie Nocholas “Nick” Walsh, who died Friday, Oct. 23, 2015, will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.A blessing service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
