John F. Zajacs

John F. Zajacs, 84, of Evans City passed away Friday morning at the Evergreen Nursing Center, Harmony.

Born July 1, 1931, in Ellwood City, he was the son of the late John and Mary Soltez Zajacs.

He retired in 2001 as a machinist from LL-VL Inc. in Saxonburg.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Butler.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War on the USS Albany.

John was a member of AARP.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna R. Critchlow Zajacs, whom he married April 6, 1957, and who passed away Oct. 9, 2015; and two sisters.

He is survived by five sons, Michael (Jean), Mark (Lisa), and Brett (Tina) Zajacs, all of Evans City, and Maurice (Patti) Zajacs of Saxonburg and Matthew (Dawn) Zajacs of Cranberry Township; three sisters, Mary Ann Stickle of Washington, Pa., Margaret (David) Eberle and Elizabeth Crans, both of Harmony; one brother, Stephen G. (Maureen) Zajacs of Coraopolis; 10 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
