The Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic football team watched a 14-0 lead slip away in a 22-14 loss to Jeannette in the WPIAL Class A semifinals at Valley High School Friday night.

Mario Latronica rushed for 101 yards and Erick Taylor passed 138 yards for the Trojans. Both had in hand in helping North Catholic build a two-touchdown lead.

Jeannette (11-1) quarterback GioVonne Sanders scrambled for the go-ahead score and added another 10-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
