SLIPPERY ROCK — Slippery Rock University senior offensive lineman Cory Tucker has been named one of eight national finalists for the Gene Upshaw Division II Lineman of the Year Award.

Tucker was a finalist for the award last season as well. He is one of only two offensive lineman among this year's finalists.

SRU graduate Brandon Fusco, now a starter for the Minnesota Vikings, won the Upshaw Award in 2010.

CLARION — Seneca Valley graduate and Clarion University junior defensive lineman Matt Koerper has been named second team All-PSAC West this season.

The 6-foot-4, 255-pound Koerper compiled 45 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, eight sacks and recovered two fumbles for the Golden Eagles this season.
