Earl “Chicken Hawk” Hawkins Jr.

Earl “Chicken Hawk” Hawkins Jr., 78, of Butler passed away Saturday at VNA Inpatient Hospice.

He was born Dec. 24, 1936, in Columbia, Pa., to the late Earl Hawkins Sr. and Barbara Mae (Eiler) Hawkins.

Earl was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and he worked as a truck driver for Pullen Brothers in Missouri until his retirement in 2002. He was a Protestant.

Earl is survived by two sons, Curtis A. Hawkins and his wife, Jaimee, of Flemington, N.J., and Stephen E. Hawkins of Tampa, Fla.; two daughters, Lori J. Ritchey and her husband, Kevin, of Rimersburg and Penny J. Cashdollar and her husband, Todd, of Butler; seven grandchildren, TR and Vicki Wampler, Kristen and Michelle Hawkins, Stephanie Hawkins and Amanda and Courtney Cashdollar; and a number of great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. Hawkins, who he married April 30, 1970, and who passed away Oct. 25, 2002.

HAWKINS — Friends of Earl “Chicken Hawk” Hawkins Jr., who died Saturday, Oct. 17, 2015, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E.
