COUNTYButler County Historical Society’s Senator Walter Lowrie House Museum presents the last public showing of “The Civil War in Pennsylvania,” a 500-square-foot exhibit featuring four life-size historic figures, modular panels describing Pennsylvania’s contributions, and original items from the collections of the historical society. The traveling exhibit includes figures of Martin Delany, an abolitionist from Pittsburgh who became the highest ranking African-American member of the Union Army, and Strong Vincent, an attorney from Erie who was famous for his cry of “Don’t give an inch” during the defense of Little Round Top at the Battle of Gettysburg. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today and Friday and Wednesdays through Saturdays from Dec. 2 to 19. Admission is free, though donations are accepted. PITTSBURGHCarnegie Science Center, North Side, reopens the Miniature Railroad and Village on Tuesday. The science center is open regularly from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays through Fridays. General admission is $18.95 for adults and $11.95 for children ages 3 to 12.
