Esther O. Bowser
Esther O. Bowser, 96, of Kittanning died Sunday at Allegheny General Hospital.
She was born on her family's farm in North Buffalo Township, Armstrong County, the daughter of Clarence and Margaret (Bouch) Bowser.
Esther was graduate of Kittanning High School, Class of 1938. She was an active member of the Center Hill Church of the Brethren and she held a number of church offices over the years. Faith was paramount in Esther's life, and she loved the Lord.
Esther enjoyed gardening and grew gladiolus that she would often gift to her loved ones. Esther loved to entertain, she devoted her life to her family and she was very close to her nieces who she regarded as her children.
She will be missed greatly by her brothers, Paul Bowser and Jay Bowser, both of Kittanning; and her nieces, Joetta Gibson and her husband, Clyde, of North Huntingdon, Mary Lou Rusbarsky of Castle Shannon, and Elaine Mazza and her husband, Ronald, of Ross Township.
Esther was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Arnold and Ernest Bowser; her sisters-in-law, Ruth Bowser and Helen Bowser; and her infant niece, Melissa Bowser.
BOWSER — Family and friends of Esther O. Bowser, who died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Bauer Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 515 N. McKean St., Kittanning.Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Center Hill Church of the Brethren, 2039 Freeport Road, Kittanning, with the Rev.
