Investigators confirmed that between eight and nine rounds were fired. Some of the shots struck the apparently targeted house.

The target house at the time was occupied by two or three adults and a child, neighbors said.
State police and their forensic services unit assisted city police process the crime scene, including gathering evidence. Numerous shelling casings were recovered, police said.
A man staying at a house next door recalled looking out his window and seeing the shooter, pistol in hand.
“I saw the guy raise the gun and start shooting,” the man said. “He shot first at the front of the house and then walked around it, shooting.”
According to the witness, the shooter said nothing from the time he opened fire until the time he walked away, from the back of the house.
Other neighbors said they heard people arguing and yelling moments before the shots started.
