Emma May Dornburg McCarty, 96, born June 14, 1919, in Carrick, Pittsburgh, passed away quietly at her home Friday morning.

She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence Edward McCarty.

She is survived by her three children, Carole Jeanne White, Susan Anne Ellis and James Gordon McCarty; and daughter-in-law, Mary Weimer McCarty.

Emma was affectionately known as “Gigi” to her 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her only brother, Frank Robert Dornburg; a niece; and a nephew.

She is the daughter of the late Frank Charles William Dornburg and Daisy Marguerite Porter Dornburg.

MCCARTY — Friends and family of Emma May Dornburg McCarty, who died on Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, may be received at the Glenn-Kildoo Funeral Home located at 130 Wisconsin Ave., Cranberry Township.Viewings are 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2771 Rochester Road, Cranberry Township.Interment will be at the Zelienople Community Mausoleum in Zelienople.Memorial donations may be made to the Cranberry Public Library, 2525 Rochester Road, Cranberry Twp., PA 16066.
