Brian Kunkle

Brian Kunkle, 52, of Piketon, Ohio, passed away Sept. 28 at Ohio State University Hospital East following a brief illness.

He was born Oct. 18, 1962, in Butler, baptized at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Chillicothe, Ohio.

Brian graduated from Piketon High School in 1981, where he was a member of the track, football and basketball teams.

After serving in the Navy he was employed in the construction industry as a concrete layer then was employed at Mills Pride.

In his spare time, Brian enjoyed attending concerts, white water rafting, competing in dart leagues, traveling, home brewing beer, cooking, grilling and smoking meats and spending time outdoors gardening. He loved sports, especially watching his beloved Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Bengals play football.

Brian is survived by his daughter, Emily (Jay) Rigsby; his granddaughter, Jayla Rose Rigsby; his companion, Paula Strange; his parents, Harold and Vonnie Kunkle; and his brother, Joel (Carrie) Kunkle.

KUNKLE — A small family memorial service for Brian Kunkle, who died Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, was conducted Oct. 3 at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg, with the Rev. Barry J.
