Verna M. McCrea
Verna M. McCrea, 91, of Rehoboth Beach, Del., formerly of Cabot, passed away Tuesday.
Born Dec. 16, 1923, in Sarver, she was the daughter of Matthew Greer Montgomery and Nellie Blackburn Montgomery Fox.
She was a graduate of Winfield High School and a member of Zion United Methodist Church. She was also a past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and a founding board member of the Order of the Rainbow girls, Freeport chapters.
Verna and Russ moved to Delaware in 2001. For more than 30 years, they enjoyed spending their winters in Florida.
Verna is survived by her children, Sue (James) Lovett of Port Huron, Mich., Gary (Karen) McCrea of Georgetown, Del., and Keith (Penny) McCrea of Dickerson, Md.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Phyllis McCrea and Emma Montgomery of Cabot.
MCCREA — Friends of Verna M. McCrea, who died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015, will be received from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will follow at noon at the funeral home with the Rev.
