Mary E. (Shkuratoff) McDonough

Mary E. (Shkuratoff) McDonough, 89, of Nursery Park, Middlesex Township, died Monday.

She was the beloved wife of the late Dennis C. McDonough Sr.; the loving mother of Dennis Charles “Chuck” McDonough Jr., Mary Lou (Greg) Longshore, Joan (Steve) Wagner, Josephine (Kent) Shoemaker, William (Lauren) McDonough, John (Shari) McDonough, Michael (Gudren) McDonough, Deborah (Dave) Lewis, Robert (Rosemarie) McDonough and Christine (Leon) Cherry; the sister of the late Wasil Shkuratoff, Steve Shkuratoff, Mildred Merry and John Manko; the proud grandmother of 25 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Born in McKees Rocks, Mary was raised on the family farm in Albion, Pa., during the depression. She enjoyed reading, Scrabble, and crossword puzzles. She especially loved spending time with her family and her cherished grandchildren. Mary was a woman of few words, but profound when she spoke. She will be dearly missed.

MCDONOUGH — Family of Mary E. McDonough, who died Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Schellhaas Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown.A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Holy Sepulcher Church with interment to follow at the Butler County Memorial Park.The family suggests memorial donations to Holy Sepulcher Church, 1304 E.
