Gladys M. Smolen
Gladys M. Smolen, 86, of Cabot passed away Sunday at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia in Cabot.
Born May 26, 1929, in Sarver, she was the daughter of Thomas L. Edwards and Ethel Reamer Edwards.
Gladys was a faithful member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sisters, Mildred (Gerald) Rudish of Cabot and Janet Sepich of Butler; two daughters-in-law, Adriane Smolen of Clifton, Va., and Diane Smolen of Cabot; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo Smolen; two sons, Robert Smolen and James Smolen; and three brothers, Alvin Edwards, Thomas Edwards and Francis “Sany” Edwards.
SMOLEN — Friends of Gladys M. Smolen, who died Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, will be received Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at the St. Joseph Church at 10 a.m. with the Rev.
