Dara Demich scored a goal with under three minutes remaining in the second overtime to move Slippery Rock University past Shippensburg 1-0 and into the second round of the PSAC Championship Tournament Tuesday at Mihalik-Thompson Stadium.

The goal was the 12th of the season for Demich, who finished with five shots.

The Rock will meet East Stroudsburg at 11 a.m. Friday at Gannon in the semifinals.

Slippery Rock (13-5-1) outshot Shippensburg 16-8.

Men's soccerMatt Sangermo put Slippery Rock is a position to take on top-seeded Mercyhurst in the semifinals.Set up by a pass from Stephen McConahy, Sangermo scored in the 82nd minute to move The Rock past California (Pa.) 1-0 at Mihalik Thompson Stadium.Junior goalkeeper Steven Rerick made six saves for The Rock (12-6).
