Michael Jenkins Sr.
Michael “Mickey” T. Jenkins Sr. of Butler passed away Sept. 23 in North Ft. Myers, Fla.
Loved by everyone who knew him, he was born Sept. 10, 1934, in Butler and lived all over the world during his time of service in the U.S. Air Force, which he served proudly for 22 years, before retiring in Butler in 1976.
He then worked for ECOZ in Zelienople, before moving on to become a correction officer at the Butler County Prison.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Phyllis Jenkins, and three of his brothers, Paul, Kenneth and Jerry Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Jenkins, currently of North Fort Myers, Fla.; his daughter, Kim Jenkins (Doug) Pierre of Fairborn, Ohio; his son, Michael T. (Cheryl) Jenkins Jr. of Great Falls, Minn.; his daughter, Diana Jenkins (Tim) Hare of Wexford; his son, Keith (Kelly) Jenkins of Connoquenessing; his son, Robert Jenkins of Lyndora; as well as his stepchildren, Bill (Joann) Snyder of Butler, Mary Bervinkle of Butler, Ken (Sue) Snyder of Toledo, Ohio, and Doug (Lisa) Snyder of Verona, Pa.
He had 31 grandchildren who he loved dearly and many great grandchildren with more on the way. It is sad that they will never get a chance to sit on his knee and hear the stories.
JENKINS — A memorial service for Michael “Mickey” T. Jenkins Sr., who died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, will be at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 10 at the First Baptist Church, 221 New Castle St., Butler.A luncheon will be provided by the church following the service.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church.
