Steven R. “Steve” Bartolac

Steven R. “Steve” Bartolac, 90, of Mars passed away Sunday morning at the Butler VNA Inpatient Hospice.

Born June 23, 1925, in Ambridge, Pa., he was the son of the late Stephen and Helen Chicora Bartolac.

Steve was an insurance broker and partner in Kerr Bartolac and Associates. He had also been part owner of the Economy Cemetery Association.

A member of the Mars United Presbyterian Church, Steve was a charter member and past president of the Rich-Mar Rotary Club, where he was a Paul Harris Fellow.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He had been a member of the VFW in Ambridge and at one time was active in Masonic organizations in Pittsburgh.

Surviving are his wife, Virginia “Ginny” Smithman Bartolac, who he married March 7, 1953; two daughters, Gini Lee Bartolac of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Susan Bartolac of Mars; his grandson, Steven Yeager of Ft. Pierce, Fla.; and two great-granddaughters, Samantha and Cora Yeager.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
